My story
On the 18th April 2026 I’m taking part in a 5k walk to raise money for the National Autistic Society, for a cause that is very close to my heart — my grandson, Brady.
Brady is a wonderful little boy who brings so much love to our family. He sees the world in his own unique way, and while that makes him incredibly special, it also comes with daily challenges.
He needs constant supervision to keep him safe, has difficulty with communication, and struggles with things many of us take for granted, like sleeping through the night. As a family, we all see how much support he needs — and how hard his parents work every single day to care for him and help him thrive.
As his grandma, I want to do what I can to support him, and to support families like ours who are navigating similar journeys.
The National Autistic Society provides vital help, advice, and resources, and I’m proud to be raising money for such an important cause.
