My story

Hi, I’m Kerise, and I’m walking 5K this April for Autism Acceptance!

As an autistic individual and a parent of an autistic child, I know firsthand the challenges autistic individuals and families face. That’s why I’m proud to be part of Walk 5K this April with the National Autistic Society.

Over the years, I’ve shared my experiences to help raise awareness. In December 2023, I contributed to the NAS website, sharing my story about Christmas as an autistic person (https://www.autism.org.uk/advice-and-guidance/stories/christmas-stories-kerise-vowles-myers). In April 2024, I spoke about autistic burnout in Your Autism Magazine. These experiences have helped me connect with others who share similar struggles, and I want to continue making a difference.

By walking 5K this April, I hope to improve education, workplaces, and social inclusion for autistic people. If you’d like to support my journey, any donation—big or small—would mean so much.

Thank you for your support! 💙
