My story

Our daughter was diagnosed with Autism 3 years ago, although we had a bit of an idea that Florence could be on the spectrum we wanted to be sure.
Our daughter getting diagnosed didn’t changed the way we felt about Florence or the way Florence felt about herself, it gave us all a clearer understanding and allowed us to start our journey together as a family learning more about helping Florence in her day to day life, the autistic society has helped us so much, my wife and I have completed a course which helps us understand more and opened the pathway for us to find a community of other families in the same situation.
As a family we are fundraising for the National Autistic Society by taking part in a Spectrum Colour Walk on 5 April 2025 during World Autism Acceptance Month!💜 we’re walking to help improve education for young autistic people    💙 we’re walking to help improve workplaces for autistic people    💚 we’re walking to help reduce loneliness and isolation among autistic people   💛 we’re walking to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month   Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated and will be going towards creating a better society for autistic people and their families.
