My story
Me and Moo are fundraising for the National Autistic Society by taking part in a 10km walk. This will take place on 2nd April 2025.💛
I’m walking to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month .
This walk means a lot to me being Autistic myself, I was diagnosed when I was 15 years old and pulled out of mainstream school due to severe fatigue and lack of support. My whole world fell apart.
I never thought I would be at this stage in life to challenge myself to walk this far again and to be so vulnerable with my story, I finally want to speak out after 8 years of not having a voice.
I have never given up and now being 23 years old I want to help raise awareness that things need to change in the system of education, work environment and most importantly not feeling alone!
We are all so truly unique like butterflies, if you give us time, and are kind and understanding you will see the true unmasked beauty of who we really are as people. We need acceptance not just in April but always because the world is a better place with people with Autism
✨✨✨Keep shining bright✨✨✨
💛 Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated and will be going towards creating a better society for autistic people and their families. To read more about the work of the National Autistic Society, visit www.autism.org.uk
